The customer supplied a batch of steel castings, we milled two surfaces flat and parallel to each other, then drilled and reamed a hole in one end to take a brazed in shaft, then finally drilled and counter-bored the other end to take a brazed in tube.
A customer wanted a batch of 4 unavailable hydraulic rams, they supplied a sample of all the parts needed, we took measurements and created drawings of each part, adjusting the tolerances to take into account worn out areas, then manufactured all parts.
